Like you, we here at First Palmetto Bank are dealing with the uncertainty of the COVID-19 (novel Coronavirus). We are continuously monitoring the development of the virus as it affects just about every aspect of our lives. The health, safety, and general well-being of our employees, customers and communities are top priorities. And while we have taken additional steps to ensure extra diligence in the cleanliness of our branches, we know that your concerns go well beyond that, because ours do too.
As of Wednesday, March 18, 2020, we are moving to Drive-Thru Only service during our normal business hours as a precautionary measure for the well-being of both our team and customers.
The majority of transactions will be handled through the Drive-Thru. However, some transactions may still require a visit into the branch to work face-to-face with one of our bankers. When visiting one of our Drive-Thru lanes, if the transaction requires you to come inside the branch, our team member will inform you of the requirement and schedule a time with you to come inside. Examples of transactions that require face-to-face interaction would be to sign loan documents or access your safe deposit box.
In an effort to make this easier on everyone, we would like to remind you that all of our accounts include access to Online Banking and Mobile Apps that can replace a large portion of the trips that would otherwise bring you into a branch. Even though all of our branches are still open for regular business hours, our digital tools are available 24/7. You may access your Personal Online Banking or Business Online Banking accounts where you can:
Since the volume of phone calls will likely increase, this is the quickest way to review your account at any time.
In addition, our First Palmetto Mobile Apps are available on the iTunes and Play stores. There is one app for Personal Banking, called First Palmetto Mobile, and then a second for Business Banking called First Palmetto Business Mobile. These apps enable you to conduct all of the same operations as Online Banking, but introduce the ability to remote deposit checks.
Lastly, all of our ATMs and drive-thru locations are available for your use.
We understand there may be instances where customers find themselves materially impacted in the near term. First Palmetto encourages impacted customers to keep the bank informed of evolving conditions in the event we may be of assistance.
Unfortunately, uncertain times can bring out the best in people, as well as the worst. The current COVID-19 situation is no different. Bad actors are using panic and fear to conduct the same old scams in different forms. Reports of fake COVID-19 map websites are appearing as well as other email scams and other fraud. Please be on alert when reading emails or browsing the internet. No First Palmetto Bank employee will ever request your debit card and pin number or any other sensitive information over the phone.
